Looking for some family friendly film fun?! This FREE to the public event is a great way for children of all ages to come out and experience the festival. They can select from a series of hands-on activity stations focusing on different aspects of film production and geared to various age and ability levels.
For the youngest attendees, we’ll have PFF poster coloring pages and they can learn about the fundamentals of building a fun storyboard. Older kids can look forward to an acting station, green screen, and learning the basics of writing a screenplay. Kids will love this fun filled morning!
Stations are age-appropriate and run the full gamut of the filmmaking process. Don’t forget to walk the red carpet and snap a picture to end the day with a smile!

A bat cave in Phoenix? You better believe it. The cave is a two-minute walk West along the canal from 40th Street and Camelback Road.
You know you're in the right spot when you see two city signs reading, "Bat Watching Area" and encounter the overwhelming smell of guano.
Every summer night at dusk, thousands of bats take flight, streaming out of the tunnel and drawing a crowd.
For about ten minutes, the Mexican free-tailed bats fly out of the drain and into the night, hunting for food before returning for another snooze. The bats will do the same thing all through the summer until October when they’ll migrate south of the border.
Our very own amateur chiropterologist Hally of Bat Fans will be on hand to answer your batty questions. She might even bring her echometer to listen to the bats talk!

Included in this year's event will be two stages featuring musical acts and entertainers, a variety of vendors offering festival-style food and beverage, arts and crafts, interactive exhibits and a classic car display. Youth activities, rides and inflatables, and a water spray zone will be part of Kids' World.

From coloring black line reproductions of the festival poster for the youngest to acting, makeup and creating their own short films for the oldest, kids will love this action-packed morning. Everyone will get a kick out of the soundtrack station, where they create a musical soundtrack to a fun film, and the screenwriting station, where they write a script“Mad Lib” style.
Stations are age-appropriate and run the full gamut of the filmmaking process. At the conclusion of the activities, the whole family is invited to view a family-friendly film screenings.

We even had someone from a group that does emergency drill events come to get more information on how to do makeup on accident participants.
UZA will have a booth with our information and some other UZA favorites as well. We will have UZA’s Ray Digger The Grave Digger wandering the comic con for free photos with any interested attendees. Sydoney will have her cameras ready to take the free photos/videos and she will put them on Facebook after the comic con is over and after Syd edits them, so this may take her a day or two. Be sure to get a flyer from Sydoney telling where you can retrieve your photo from and where
you can share your own photos with us.
