UZA Makeup and Special Effects. We do makeup and mostly we have done zombies and monsters and victims; but we are learning to do so much more. Sydoney Banks, UZA head makeup artist, Syd is not a licensed cosmetologist but has had some cosmetology education for makeup +. She has future plans for more intense makeup education including airbrush makeup. We specialize in zombies, but we have done so much more and our experiences, abilities, and body of work grows each year. We have done makeup for movies, commercials, music videos, videos, theater, television, photo shoots, news clips, haunted houses, and many events.
Makeup is only one part of your character and it is an important part. For some things the look is very important and it helps you a lot if you have to be an acting character. Everyone wants to look their best, even monsters, or else you just look like regular folk. Makeup can enhance your regular appearance or it can make you dramatic or it can make you very intense, even scary! If you are good at makeup, a little can go a long way, "less is more," as we like to say.
We have had the opportunity to help a theater with some of their productions and it was wonderful for the experience and the opportunity to work with such great thespians. We have done work with and for various haunted houses on ourselves and other actors. We have done makeup for many videos, music videos, photo shoots, movies, comic cons, walks, runs, parades, shows and events. Makeup is important for the individual, their role, the activity or event, and their audience as well, it ties everything together for a wonderful whole experience.

She got into wearing it and applying it professionally, in 2009. Syd has learned from many other artists as well as workshops, classes, and more. Syd is also taking a theater makeup course in college. She has done makeup for movies, commercials, music videos, videos, theater, television, photo shoots, news clips, haunted houses, and many other events. Syd also loves helping and teaching others about makeup and how to do makeup on themselves and others. Syd has done many workshops, classes, and panels on makeup and she loves to do them.
